Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer
You will be met on arrival at Entebbe International Airport by our driver/guide and be transferred to hotel/camping grounds in Kampala/Mukono. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Jinja
You will have early breakfast and make an early start on the eventful journey to Jinja – East Africa’s adventure capital. We shall make a stopover at Ssezibwa Falls, the spectacular waterfalls are believed to have been born by humans many hundred years ago. The falls are one of the most spiritual and cultural centers where many natives flock for blessings, wealth, and fortunes. A traditional healer performs ceremonies for those seeking love, children, a successful business deal or a good harvest.
The next stop will be Mabira forest for a short nature forest walk in search for forest birds and colobus monkeys. After the walk we shall proceed and reach Jinja town where we will visit the Source of River Nile and get a chance to see where the mighty River Nile (Longest River in the world) starts its journey all the way to the Mediterranean Sea.
Have lunch in Jinja town and enjoy a tour of this historical town with lot of sightings including the thundering Itanda falls. Dinner and overnight camping in Jinja.
Day 3: Sipi falls tour
You will have breakfast at the camping site and head East wards of Uganda to Sipi Falls for a Nature walk. Here, you will undergo a nature walk to the spectacular Sipi falls which has its origins from Mount Elgon and you can expect to see the caves, plantations of coffee, matooke and sugar cane along the way. Dinner and overnight camping Mt. Elgon.
Day 4: Mbale to Masindi Town
You will enjoy an early morning breakfast and start your Journey from Mbale, through Kampala to Masindi town and making a stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking. This is a guided nature walk to experience the life of the Rhinos in the wild. You will also have lunch at the sanctuary and enjoy an evening walk after which, you will transfer to Masindi town for dinner and overnight camping.
Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Game drive & Launch Cruise
Have breakfast at the camp-site and transfer to the magnificent Murchison falls national park – Uganda’s largest national park with lots of natural wonders. The drive is relatively short from Masindi and you will enter the park early, for the mid-break game drive and an evening launch cruise and hike to the top of the falls where you can enjoy a snack while listening to the sound of the flowing water!
The game drives takes about 3 – 5 hours and Wildlife in the Park includes elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Hartebeest, Uganda kobs, oribis and waterbucks.
The launch cruise on the Albert Nile will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork.
It is here that water thunders through different rapids from a 7-metre gap to fall over 40 meters Gorge below and the experience is mesmerizing! Diner and overnight wild camping.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Breakfast will be served early and make an early start on this long drive to Kibale Forest National Park. You will have lunch in Fort portal town and enjoy a tour of the surroundings including the Tooro Iing’s palace. Proceed to Kibale forest arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight Camping
Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Early morning breakfast and attend briefing by the park rangers after which you will set out for chimp tracking within the Kibale Forest. The guides will equip you with lots of information about the forest and the different flora and fauna including colorful variety of butterflies. After an exciting search for the elusive chimpanzees, you will return to camp-site for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area and look out for most of the water loving bird species. The forest /Park has almost 335 species of birds and therefore a good place for birders. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Semuliki National Park
You will have breakfast and transfer to Semuliki national park for safari which is also a relatively short drive and you will reach the park headquarters early where you will register and later put up your tent and enjoy lunch. Spend the afternoon enjoying the tranquility and magnificent view of the park and enjoy dinner as the sun sets! You will visit the hot springs of Sempaya and the pygmies
Late evening, you will go on a night game drive in search for wildlife such as the slender mongoose, serval cats, white tailed mongoose and diminutive genet. Semuliki National Park is one of the few Parks in Uganda where one can go on the night game drive. The night game drive ends at 11:00 pm or thereabout and return to your campsite.
Day 9: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive well in time on your long Uganda safari and enjoy lunch at the hotel and in the afternoon; go for a game drive in the Northern crater area where there is a lot of dark holes called the black craters with no water. You may be able to see a lot of animal including Elephants, lions, buffaloes, Leopards, baboons and warthogs among others.
In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on the renowned Kazinga channel – famous for its highest hippopotamus concentration in Africa! You will also see a lot of crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and other animals as they come down to drink and bathe plus a great deal of birds on the sandbanks. Return to the campsite for dinner and a great night in middle of the park.
Day 10: Game drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park
Early morning breakfast, then an early morning game drive, you will have views of game like the some of big four of the big five like lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants, antelope species like water bucks, Kobs, bushbucks among others, jackals and other wild game you would have missed the previous day. After the game drive we shall drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive will take you passing through the Ishasha sector in the south of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will spend some time driving as you view the lions in the fig trees during day time.
Day 11: Gorilla trekking and Community walk.
Have breakfast and then get to the briefing point before heading to the forest.You will be briefed after which you will head for trekking to track for the rare mountain gorillas. Trekking might take you 2 to 8 hours to find the giant Gorillas depending on their movement; the activity is strenuous but then amazing in finding the gorillas. You will have an hour with the gorillas them head to the campsite to relax. In the evening hours go for the Batwa people exploration thereafter be back for dinner and overnight at Wild Camping
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi passing through the Kigezi Highlands while there you will take on a boat ride to gain impressive views of Lake Bunyonyi. You also take a walk on some of the Islands to explore the heritage of the local people, their local schools, and their traditional food preparation methods, their traditional performances after all the activities you will head to the lodge for dinner and overnight camping at Resort Camp.
Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
Breakfast, then drive to Lake Mburo National Park, drive through the amazing landscapes of south western Uganda. On arrival in Mbarara you will stop at Igongo Cultural Center for traditional lunch meal. You will then proceed to lake Mburo while there engage in the afternoon boat cruise along the lake there are possible sights of impressive Hippos, Nile crocodiles, a variety of birds species like the African Fish eagle and more. You can also enjoy a night game drive to explore the game in their hidouts. Then head to for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Wild Camping at Rwonyo.
Day 14: Morning game walk and Banyankole Community tour.
After breakfast, head on a stunning game walk as you pass through the fascinating Savannah ecosystem and enjoying the game that is harbored there as you enjoy taking in the views and take pictures. While engaging in the game walk you will earn yourself an opportunity to sight game like the Rothschild giraffes, Impala, Burchell’s Zebra, Topis, Warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, and elands. Thenback to the lodge for relaxation, lunch after which you will head for the Enyemebwa Cultural center to explore the exterior and interior of the local thatched huts, the views of the cattle Kraal, the crop gardens, and banana plantations. You will enjoy a traditional performance before heading for dinner and overnight at Wild Camping at Rwonyo.
Day 15: Transfer to Kampala
After a delicious breakfast meal, drive to Kampala which is about 4hours with a stop at the Equator where a North Pole-South Pole demonstrating wave and water direction moves clockwise and anti-clockwise in different poles. You will have lunch at the Equator and continue to Kampala arriving in the afternoon for relaxation and overnight at Camping at Back Packers Hostel
Day 16: The Ssese Islands of Lake Victoria
On this day of your classical camping safari Uganda, you will transfer you to Nakiwogo landing site to board the ferry to Lutoboka. The journey takes about 3 hours. Set up your tents, enjoy lunch and relax into the evening as you enjoy the sweet melodies from hundreds of bird species recorded here with a cool rewarding breeze from the lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight camping at Ssesse Islands!
Day 17: Full day at the Ssese Island
You will enjoy breakfast with stunning sunrise and go bird-watching and forest walk in the nearby forest on the Island. You will look out for primates such as Monkeys as well as water and forest birds like: Hornbill, Turacco, Flycatcher, weaver, Fish Eagle, and colorful butterflies. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the white sand beaches around the Island. Dinner and overnight camping as above.
Day 18: Transfer back to Entebbe and departure
Have breakfast and after leave the Island by the morning Ferry back to Bukakata. Have lunch in Entebbe town and then later you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or overnight stay.
